Your Home & Garden | October Issue

It's always a good day when the Your Home & Garden magazine arrives in your letterbox, and even better when it's a standout issue like this one. The gorgeous cover promises loads of ideas and inspiration, and when you take a look inside, you'll see that it more than delivers.

Having worked for the publisher of this magazine, I've stayed a loyal follower and I can honestly say, it keeps getting better and better! From next month, it will even have a newly designed name, and there's a sneak peek of what it will look like inside the current issue - just another reason to grab yourself a copy!

What a treat, getting to take a peek inside New Zealand artist Penny Stotter's gorgeous Auckland home. The minimalist, uncluttered interior allows Penny's striking collection of New Zealand art and design to take centre stage. In addition, Penny answers questions relating to her own personal style when it comes to interiors, and all that inspires her.

Who doesn't love a tea party? Beautifully styled by Sarah Conder and Juliette Wanty, this gorgeous table setting is guaranteed to give you lots of ideas for your next afternoon soiree.

Always a hit, in this issue 'Save and Splurge' gives a great range of cutlery to suit every budget.

When it comes to painting your interior, choosing the right white isn't easy. That's why this article, in association with Resene, is a must-read. Packed with advice on how to pick the right shade for different rooms in the home, it also gives tips on how best to match up furnishings and homewares.

A Whiter Shade of Pale takes a look at a globe-trotting couple and their lovely Auckland home. Having lived in many different countries and different styles of homes, they've found that a white palette always works best. Dark floors provide a stunning contrast to the home's white and neutral shades, and I just love the touches of pretty pastels and sorbet shades.

The homes section is always a highlight so I was delighted to see that in this issue, they are all new builds. If you're just catching up, we're about to embark on our first build, so this got me really excited! With four family homes from around New Zealand, each one is very different but all are equally inspiring. I was completely absorbed page after page, and I'm sure you will be too!

Clever DIY ideas by Juliette Wanty will have you rushing out to buy fabric dye. Loving the neon!

As well as these little tasters, you'll find more home and outdoor ideas, food, wine & entertaining inspiration, another DIY project, and of course, all of the regular features. Well done Your Home & Garden - what a fabulous read!
