If I'm ever lucky enough to visit Copenhagen, The Apartment is high on my list of places to visit. A centre for showcasing objects of design, furniture, antiques and art, the setting is an elegant apartment in Christianshavn, in the heart of Copenhagen, which has been beautifully restored by founders Tina Seidenfaden Busck and Pernille Hornhaver. Tina and Pernille are part of a network of galleries in the region, allowing The Apartment to sell works by renowned, international artists. Exhibitors include world recognised designers such as Michael Anastassiades, Martha Harmitage and Larusi rugs in addition to handpicked antique furniture.
"We hope that The Apartment will become more interesting as time passes. That we establish a place for beautiful design and art that surprises each and every visitor – somewhere people come back to again and again for inspiration for exciting design.”
Open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 4 pm, private appointments can also be made outside of these times.
With its light-filled spaces and white-washed interior, The Apartment beautifully showcases collections of furniture, rugs and art. Here are a few of my favourite pieces of furniture and lighting.
1 Sofa | 2 Sidetables | 3 Floor Lamp
These items from the Little Interiors inventory are so gorgeous, I just had to share.
