Interior Inspiration | Stadshem Real Estate

As an interior blogger with a passion for everything Scandinavian, Swedish real estate firm Stadshem is a wonderful resource. Much like the agencies Fantastic Frank and Alvhem, both of which I've featured on the blog (here and here) Stadshem features beautiful homes that will make you drool. You certainly don't need to be in the market to buy (although that would be nice) to appreciate all that these sites have to offer. In addition to current listings, the Stadshem site has a section titled Inspired where you can view a collection of some of the finest homes they have marketed, room by room.

At a time when brokerage firms in the major Swedish cities were specialising in areas such as expensive homes or attics, Mattias Lantto, CEO and founder of Stadshem saw a gap in the market. Driven by his passion for older homes he decided to specialise in this area. Although he agonised over turning down modern houses in the beginning, his perseverance and clear direction paid off. When buyers are looking for heirloom, functionalist or 1950's housing, they know where to turn. I enjoy reading through the section on the site, Architecture, which talks through the different architectural styles of each era, and I admire the company's philosophy to 'work with homes we love'. They may not be the most luxurious or the 'best' addresses, but they are "charming, unique, cozy .... Simply homes that inspire us and others. With soul and feeling."

Rather than using customer fees for exclusive offers and advertising, Stadshem hires the best designers and photographers to help market the home. Judging by these images, the results speak for themselves.

I love the character and charm of these older Swedish homes. The walls and floors have been painted white, providing a crisp backdrop for colourful Scandi styling. I'm certainly feeling inspired - I hope you are too!
